“John Lasseter is the protagonist of “˜Western’ contemporary animation cinema”, says the director of the Venice Film Festival, Marco Mà¼ller, motivating his decision to present the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement to Lasseter and the other directors at Disney- Pixar.

The 66th edition of the Festival will be held at the Lido di Venezia from 2nd “” 12th September.

The president of the jury will be the multi award-winning director Ang Lee (two Golden Lions).

The new features for the next edition will include the return of “Controcampo Italiano”, the section dedicated to italian cinema trends created by Lizzani back in the 1980s.
