TUSCANY/Contemporary Sets

Until mid October Paolo Sorrentino will be working on the Tuscan sets of his new film, “Loro”: in Orbetello and the Argentario Golf Resort at Porto Ercole.
Filming will continue in Tuscany throughout the whole month of October on “Il peccato. Una visione”, a film by Andrej Končalovskij about the genius of Michelangelo, one of the rst projects to benefit from the new open call promoted by the Sensi Contemporanei Toscana Program for cinema.
Produced by the Fondazione Andrej Končalovskij which supports Cinema and Scenic Arts and by Jean Vigo Italia with Rai Cinema (it is an Italian-Russian co-production), the cast of the film includes Alberto Testone in the role of Michelangelo, Umberto Orsini as the Marquis of Malaspina and Massimo De Francovich as Pope Julius II.
Filming will take place in Tuscany and Lazio: in Carrara (Monte Altissimo –the Henraux quarry), Florence, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Bagno a Ripoli, Pienza, Monte San Savino, Tarquinia, Caprarola, and Rome.
The other feature-length dramas supported by the Sensi Contemporanei Toscana Program for Cinema include “Quanto basta”, the new film by Tuscan director Francesco Falaschi, produced by Verdeoro ( filmed in Tuscany and Rome from 24 July to 9 September), “Glass Boy”, written and directed by Samuele Rossi and produced by Emanuele Nespeca for Solaria Film with WILDart FILM and EchiVisivi, “Europa” directed and produced by Haider Rashid with his Radical Plans, and “Dafne” by Federico Bondi (produced by Vivo Film).
