TUSCANY/A taste of the Orient

There is a taste of the Orient on Tuscan sets: the fall has brought one Indian and two Chinese productions.
The feature movie “Amour” is – nomen omen – a love story produced by India’s UV Creations,with the executive production service by Odu Movies of Lucca, set at the end of the 90s in Tuscany and London. The first part of the filming was carried out in Arezzo (Piazza Grande, inside the Church of Santa Maria della Pieve), Lucca (City walls, historical town center), Montecatini (Terme Tettuccio Thermal Baths) and Pisa (Ponte di Mezzo, Lungarni) from 27 September to 10 October. The second phase of filming will take place in spring 2019.

The Chinese feature film “Dimmi chi sono”, is a comedy with noir overtones directed by Li Cheng Peng and produced by BoNa Production,Ying ShunHe Production, with the Italian executive production service provided by L’Isola. It filmed in Florence for one week from October 21 at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport, the Auditorium of Sant’Apollonia and Villa Palmieri.

Finally, a reality show: “Venus Flower Shop” is set in a flower store and stars three beautiful and famous Chinese women guiding a group of teenagers through the adventure of living and working in an oriental flower store in Florence. Filming on the first season took place in Florence over two weeks in the second half of November. The reality show is produced by the Chinese company iQIYI with the Italian executive production service provided by Imago Communication.
