“Lucy in the sky” by Giuseppe Petitto, “La Regina della neve” by Carlo Mazzacurati and “Maldamore” by Angelo Longoni, are the three feature films which will be benefiting from the Trentino Film Commission’s Film Fund.
“Lucy in the sky” is a supernatural thriller, the debut work of Giuseppe Petitto, produced by Martha Capello’s Martha Production and Emanuele Nespeca, alongside Switzerland’s Peacock Film and Austria’s WILDart Film, with the contribution of the MIBAC, the BLS Film Fund and Rai Cinema. Shooting is scheduled to start in September 2013.
“La regina della neve” is the latest movie by Carlo Mazzacurati, produced by Angelo Barbagallo’s Bibi Film, written by the director together with Doriana Lendeff and Marco Pettenello. Two weeks of filming in Trentino are planned for the month of July.
“Maldamore”, by Angelo Longoni, is based on the show of the same name written and directed by Longoni himself, produced by Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Giovanna Emidi and Silvana Natili for ItalianDreamsFactory. Ambra Angiolini, Luisa Ranieri, Alessio Boni and Luca Zingaretti will star in the movie that will be filmed entirely in Trento. Filming, due to start next June, will last for six weeks. Five documentaries and a TV series have also been accepted by the Fund.“Alberi che camminano”, directed by Mattia Colombo, produced by Oh!Pen, is freely based on the story by Erri De Luca ‘Visita a un albero’. ”Afghanistan 2014”, the second of three documentaries by Razi Mohebi produced by local company, Filmwork, and devised by Razi and Soheila Mohebi. ”Fortunato Depero” by Nello Correale, produced by the Tipota Movie Company, a documentary movie about the artist who played a crucial role in Futurism, “Operazione Pluto”, by Renzo Car- bonera, produced by Kinè Società Cooperativa and “Trento Symphonia” a work by the artistic collective Flatform. And, finally, “La Dama Nera”, a twelve part TV series, produced by Lux Vide for Rai Uno, directed by Carmine Elia, has also received funding.

The total of the Trentino Film Commission Film Fund for 2013 amounts to 1,200,000 Euros.
