TRENTINO/Atlas in Val di Fassa

“Atlas”, the feature movie directed by Niccolò Castelli starring Matilda De Angelis, Nicola Perot, Irene Casagrande, Helmi Dridi, Kevin Blaser, Anna Manuelli, Angelo Bison and Anna Ferruzzo was filmed at the end of September in Val di Fassa.
It is a co-production between Imago Film (Switzerland), Climax Films (Belgium), Tempesta srl (Italy), and RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera (CH) which tells the story of the encounter between Allegra, the victim of a terrorist attack that took the life of her friends, and Arad, a young refugee from the Middle East.

In the meantime, StudioCanal has sold the TV series, “Sanctuary”, set in Trentino, to Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Russia and Poland.
It is directed by Oskar Thor Axelsson and Enrico Maria Artale and produced by Sweden’s Yellow Bird for TV4 where it will be aired in September.
Matthew Modine and the young Swedish actress Josefin Asplund are the protagonists of this psychological thriller which tackles the topics of survival, identity, trust and betrayal and was filmed in Trentino last fall in the Val di Fassa, the Valsugana and the Adige Valley with the support of the Trentino Film Commission and Trentino Marketing.
The locations include the Grand Hotel Imperial in Levico Terme, the cable car of Monte Mezzocorona, Campitello di Fassa, the Lake of San Pellegrino and Pian dei Schiavaneis in Canazei where the chalet of Siri, one of the protagonists, was reconstructed.
