The Lazio Region has divided up the distribution of the € 30 million in resources over five funds for supporting production, training and exhibitors. It is first in Italy and, in Europe it is second only to Berlin- Brandenburg. Here are the funds:

LAZIO CINEMA INTERNATIONAL FUND
€ 10 million have been allocated to foster the creation of partnerships between producers from Lazio and international producers and to attract big international productions to Rome and Lazio in order to promote the region abroad.
The open call, dedicated to cinema and TV, is divided into two time windows of € 5 million each that involve an unsecured contribution of 35% of the eligible expenses which can be increased to 45% in the case of co-productions financed for a foreign producer from at least one other European Union state. Moreover, 50% of the total resources is earmarked for works considered to be of regional interest. In calculating the special terms granted, projects linked to the tourism and cultural promotion of Lazio are heavily rewarded.

FONDO REGIONALE PER L’AUDIOVISIVO [REGIONAL AUDIOVISUAL FUND]
With an endowment of € 9 million, this fund, which aims to attract investment, covers in percentage terms and in complete automatism, the production expenses paid by audiovisual companies making FIlm products or television series in Lazio.

FONDO DI ROTAZIONE [REVOLVING FUND]
€ 1,250,000 for supporting young businesses in the film and audiovisual industries in the Lazio Region.

BANDO CREATIVITÀ 2020 [2020 CREATIVITY OPEN CALL]
€ 9 million for: cross-media development, production and distribution, digital post-production, digital and live performances, the development and utilization of digital technologies for the restoration and protection of the audiovisual cultural heritage.

BANDO CINEMA e TEATRI SENZA BARRIERE E IN SICUREZZA [CINEMA AND THEATERS WITHOUT BARRIERS AND IN SAFETY OPEN CALL]
€ 1 million unsecured contribution, thanks to the law on urban regeneration earmarked for Cinemas for interventions involving architectural barriers, safety measures, support for audiovisual innovations and all the formulas that can facilitate the management of movie theaters.
