FROM MEDIA PROGRAMME TO CREATIVE EUROPE: EVOLUTION OR REVOLUTION?
The debate about the future of the ”Creative Europe” Program (2014-2020) that supports the rapidly and constantly changing audiovisual sector is the main theme of the conference organized by MEDIA Desk Italia and The Business Street.
After a presentation of the day’s activities by Giuseppe Massaro (Media Desk Italia), the meeting will start with a speech by Silvia Costa (European Parliament – Rapporteur for “Creative Europe”) on “Creative Europe, state of the art”, followed by Nicola Borrelli, General Director of Mibac-DG Cinema and representatives from the European Commission and local institutions. A second session will focus on the recent study ordered by the European Commission on new business models in the audiovisual sector presented by Alain Modot (Media Consulting Group). The day will end with some interesting case studies involving new models of promotion, distribution and information exchange.

ITALY: THE BEST CHOICE
Organized by ANICA, in collaboration with the APE (Association of Executive Producers and Production Service Companies), with the support of the Ministry of the Economic Development.
This initiative will function as a professional workshop directed towards producers and filmmakers who intend to realize their projects in Italy.
Three years after the successful enactment and application of the Tax Credit, the event will focus on giving an in-depth view of the Italian tax incentive scheme utilized by foreign producers. Case histories will be presented involving professionals and key players from recent movie productions.
The discussion will be followed by questions from an international audience and a networking cocktail for those attending the conference.
LAZIO
The Film Fund Balance Sheet
After the Cannes Film Festival and the International Venice Film Festival, the Lazio Regional Fund for Cinema & Audiovisuals comes to the Rome Film Festival with its own space adjacent to the Auditorium Parco della Musica. The program will include the presentation of the Balance Sheet for 2011 of the Regione Lazio’s cinema and audiovisual fund (Monday November 12th), two meetings with movie producers from Russia (Tuesday 13th) and Brazil (Thursday 15th). Plus a conference “All Digital, in- trattenimento, cinema e distribuzione digitale nel Lazio [All Digital, entertainment, cinema and digital distribution in La- zio]” (Wednesday 14th) that will offer members of the trade a chance to reflect on the action to be taken as part of the process of digitalization of regional cinemas which is currently taking place. The occasion will also be marked by the publication of “Festival in rete”, the first guide that puts all the film festivals and exhibitions held in Lazio on the Net.
