For one day, May 17th, Tuscan cinema will move to La Croisette and the I-Club, the Italian area at the Hilton for the international public of sector operators. The events organized by the Toscana Film Commission will be attended by the directors of the top Tuscan festivals (at 11.00 a.m. Felice Laudadio and Tommaso Mottola will present Europa Cinema and the Capalbio Short Film Festival, whereas at 5.30 p.m. it will be the turn of N.IC. E. with the director Viviana del Bianco). Food will also play an important role, preceded by images filmed by Tuscany’s Francesco Falaschi (at 12.30 p.m.). The protagonist will be “gastronaut” Davide Paolini who, in a twenty minute film, will accompany spectators through a “tasty” reconnaissance of the flavors of Tuscany following a cinematographic route. The food, more precisely the proverbial “frittura di paranza” [fried fish], will arrive in the evening (at 7.30 p.m.) directly from Versilia (in collaboration with Pescaturismo Versilia), on board a fishing boat which will be moored in front of the Hotel Hilton. Next, a strictly Tuscan gala dinner, during which a soprano, violin and piano trio from the Puccini Torre del Lago Festival will entertain guests with some famous arias. It will be just a taste, say the organizers, because only by coming to Tuscany and filming there can people discover and experience the authentic flavor of our land.
