After the world premiere in Toronto on 7th September, “Miracle at St. Anna” will fly straight to Florence for its European premiere on 30th September at the Cinema Odeon.
The event, organized by the Mediateca Regionale Toscana Film Commission, which played an important role in the preparation and filming of the movie in Tuscany and, in particular, the Garfagnana district, will be attended by author James McBride, who wrote the screenplay and the novel on which the movie is based, as well as the stars of the movie and other celebrities.
“Miracle at St. Anna” is the story of four black American soldiers from the US Army’s 92nd “Buffalo Soldiers” Division, entirely made up of African-Americans, which, during the Second World War, got stuck in a village beyond enemy lines, after one of them risked his life to save an Italian boy.
