This year the Val Venosta is the protagonist of PLACES #7, the location tour organized by the IDM Film Fund & Commission from 10th to 12th October 2018.
Producers, directors, location scouts, general organizers and production managers from Italy, Germany and Austria will be able to send in their applications soon.
For centuries this land has been traveled by pilgrims, merchants and rulers along the ancient Roman “Claudia Augusta” trade road.
Every year PLACES #7 is also an important occasion for learning more about the funding opportunities offered by IDM and a chance for suppliers and local professionals to meet.

Ortles, Gran Zebrù, the Bolzano Climbing Hall, the south wall of the Marmolada, the “vie ferrate” [iron paths] of the Dolomites, Corvara, Passo Sella, Passo Gardena, Passo Falzarego: these are the main loca- tions of “Mord am Unmöglichen”, the new documentary directed byReinhold Messner and produced by Bolzano’s Dolomites, in which the mountaineer discusses the fascinating relationship between man and the mountain, following the stages of development of mountaineering. The film, which received the support of IDM, was shot from 10th July until September and stars Simon Messner, Martin Dejori, Philipp Prünster, Hansjörg Auer, Alex Walpoth and Philipp Brugger.
