REMAKE/Benvenue to Campania

Campania hosted a number of movie sets between May and July. Localities in the Cilento area – Pollica, Centola, Camerota, Roscigno and San Mauro Cilento “” were used to shoot “Noi credevamo” by Mario Martone, starring Luigi Lo Cascio, Valerio Binasco, Salvatore Pisani, Luca Zingaretti, Toni Servillo, Luca Barbareschi and Anna Buonaiuto (produced by Palomar).


Toni Servillo is starring in “Gorbaciov”, which was filmed by Stefano Incerti in June and July in Naples, in the districts of Poggioreale, Centro Direzionale and Fuorigrotta, Piazzale V. Tecchio, the Capodichino airport, the Terminale Railway Station, on board the Circumvesuviana train and at the Zoo.
Some interiors were also filmed inside the “Leonardo Bianchi” Psychiatric Hospital.


Summer in Campania will end with two important productions by Indigo Film and Cattleya.
The first is Massimo Coppola’s movie “Hai paura del buio?”, some scenes of which will be shot in Naples, although the film is mainly set in Romania and Melfi, in Basilicata.


The second production, “Benvenuti al Sud”, is a remake of the successful French movie “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis”, directed by Luca Miniero, starring Claudio Bisio, Angela Finocchiaro, Alessandro Siani and Valentina Lodovini.
Filming will begin in September in Castellabate Agoropoli, Vallo di Diano and Punta Licosa in Cilento.


The cast and crew of “Eat Pray Love”, based on the novel of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert, will arrive in Campania in September.
Ryan Murphy will be filming for two days in Naples, where Javier Bardem (the leading actor along with Julia Roberts), will stop to eat a pizza and walk around the city center.
