PUGLIA/Mezzapesa at Venice Days

The world premiere of “Il Bene mio”, the second feature movie by Pippo Mezzapesa starring Sergio Rubini in the role of Elia, the last inhabitant of the ghost town of Provvidenza, will be held at the 15th edition of the Giornate degli Autori (Venice Days) as a Special Event Out of Competition.
It is about the resistance of a man who attempts to recover a community destroyed by the earthquake and who wishes to defend its memory at all costs.
The film is produced by Cesare Fragnelli for Altre Storie with the contribution of Rai Cinema, MiBACT [Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism] – General Directorate for Cinema, Regione Puglia – European Union – POR Puglia 2014- 2020 and the Apulia Film Commission.
Mezzapesa also wrote the screenplay together with Antonella Gaeta and Massimo De Angelis.
