Mondo TV is bringing a rich selection of titles to Mipcom 2019 that are already established or about to be launched, with a strong emphasis on adventures that focus on ecology and on the web stars followed by teenagers.
“We are expecting a very lively Mipcom where the growing strength of Mondo TV will be underlined not just in animation but also in live action products, with multiple partnerships on several platforms”, says Matteo Corradi, CEO of Mondo TV, “one of the five major European groups, with four listed companies, a patrimony of over € 60 million and zero debt, a situation that makes it possible to carry out long-term investments”, in addition to a pre-production hub in the Canary Islands. The objective: “to create a European multinational that penetrates all markets”.
“House of Talent: The Web Series” is the show inspired by “House of Talent”, the first Italian crew of influencers made up of more than 20 kids, a digital phenomenon with over half a billion monthly contacts that has also inspired two novels (with more on the way).
In the web series fans watch their idols attempting various trials, making use of their talents in various ambients inside a house where the rooms become the set of a specific format.
The series, which started on September 9 with daytime streaming on the YouTube House of Talent channel, consists of 260 episodes of around 10 minutes.
The premises have been extremely positive right from the teasing campaign with the trailer getting more than 55,000 views in less than 24 hours, entering the Youtube trends in 37th place.
Six little superheroes that prevent pollution, global warming and climate change are instead the protagonists of “MeteoHeroes”, a Mondo TV coproduction with Meteo Expert Center, the Italian meteorological forecasting center.
They will help kids better understand environmental questions and how they should be managed and prevented, by capturing their imagination.
A multifaceted project: an animated series (52 x 7’episodes) for spring 2020, a website packed with information and an app full of content (including weather forecasts for children) which can inspire numerous school projects.
Added to these new titles are “YooHoo to the Rescue”, the first Mondo TV Netflix Original series available on the platform all over the world from last March, based on the globally successful line of Aurora World cuddly toys, in which YooHoo and his friends tackle threats to nature and wild fauna and meet lots of animal species on the verge of extinction.
After the successful first two series produced by Mondo TV Iberoamerica together with Alianzas Producciones, “Heidi Bienvenida” (120 x 45’), Mondo TV’s first live-action series, is about to become a movie that is currently in production.
The second season of the animated series “Bat Pat” (52 x 11’), in co-production with Atlantyca Entertainment, and of “Robot Trains”, coproduced with the South Korean colossus CJ E&M, the third series of which has already been announced, are the other Mondo TV titles together with “Invention Story”, available on the Chinese platforms Mango TV and Tencent, which will premiere on CCTV in October.
“This means” explains Corradi “that, for the first time, a property is ready to be launched on the Chinese market to subsequently move on to the European market”.
Finally, there is “Sissi the Young Empress”, an established success in over 40 countries
