The Roma Lazio Film Commission will be at the Berlinale with two films also supported by the Lazio Region: “Siberia” by Abel Ferrara and “Bad Tales” by the d’Innocenzo brothers.
On February 24 from 9.30 a.m. a meeting will be held (by invitation only) in the Academie Lounge in Berlin – a networking breakfast for the development of co-productions organized by the Roma Lazio Film Commission and the Catalunya Film Commission
Filming is underway in Rome on “Io sono babbo Natale” (working title) starring Marco Giallini and Gigi Proietti, produced by Lucky Red and Rai Cinema with 3 Marys Entertainment, while Dario Albertini shot the film “Anima bella” (Bibi Film) in Civitavecchia.
However, the number of sets is multiplying in Lazio mainly for television productions that have requested the assistance of the Roma Lazio Film Commission: from “Domina”, 10 episodes on the life of Livia Drusilla made in Cinecittà and produced by Fifty Fathoms (Fortitude) and Sky Studios, with Cattleya in the role of line producer; to the TV movie about “Rita Levi Montal- cini” produced by Cosmo Production; from the international co- production for Rai Uno and Netflix about “Leonardo”, filmed in English in Formello by Sony Pictures Television with Lux Vide, to ”The Flight Attendant” by Horizon Scripted Television, the HBO Max thriller drama series, the star and line producer of which is Kaley Cuoco, which is filming in Rome from the end of January.
Other television products filmed in Lazio are “Remarkable Places to Eat” by Outline Productions for BBC2, and the US format “Travel destination video” produced by Matador Network which filmed in Rome in the Orange Garden, the Coppedè Quarter, the Parco degli Acquedotti and Trastevere.
In the month of January, the Roma Lazio Film Commission supported the second edition of the AVFX – Visual effects Festival which offered a €1000 prize for the “Effetto Verticale-Vertical Effect” contest.
