Filming will begin on October 29th in Lazio (Campagnano, Lago di Vico and the province of Viterbo) on “Je m’appele Mohammed” by Goran Paskalievic, starring Donatella Finocchiaro, about the story of an unaccompanied foreign minor.
It is a co-production between Serbia (Novafilm), Macedonia (Sektor Film), France (Rosebud) and Italy (Cinemusa, in collaboration with Simona Banchi of 39Films and Amedeo Letizia of Quality Film). Marco Alessi collaborated on the screenplay which was written by Paskalievic and the movie also received support from Lazio Cinema International (€ 317,000), from the selective Fund of the MiBACT [Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism] and from Rai Cinema.
“This movie is the first big result of the work carried out together with the Balkan Film Market which we have been supporting since the very first edition also through the Balkan Days formula that we organized in Tirana, Berlin and Cannes and that we will repeat in Rome, at MIA”, Luciano Sovena, President of the Roma Lazio Film Commission has stated.
