FVG/Montalbano plays away

The most famous Sicilian police inspector in the world has also arrived in Friuli Venezia Giulia: Cividale del Friuli and Venzone were the sets, at the end of April, of an episode of the celebrated television series “Inspector Montalbano” (“L’Altro capo del Filo”, based on the novel by Camilleri), directed by Alberto Sironi and starring Luca Zingaretti.
There are many active television film sets in the region supported by the
FVG Film Commission: in May Aquileia and Palmanova hosted the filming of the documentary “Sei in un paese meraviglioso”, produced by B/Arts srl for SKY Arte HD, while the cast and crew of the series “La Porta Rossa 2”, directed by Carmine Elia, produced by Vela film srl, starring Lino Guanciale, Valentina Romani and Gabriella Pession, returned to Trieste: filming will continue until October.
From June to September, Vela film srl will also be filming the TV series
“Un bel luogo per morire” directed by Pier Belloni in Trieste, Duino, Muggia and Sistiana.

With regard to cinema, filming has recently ended in Trieste on the movie “Come cadono le cose” by Katja Colja, produced by Minimum Fax Media srl, starring Lunetta Savino, Boris Cavazza, Simonetta Solder and Anita Kravos.
