The Italians Michael Donatone with “Back to the food”, and Francesco Fanuele and Gianluca Santoni with “Col cibo non si scherza”, the Pilipino Alfonso Orioste with “My Promise”, and the Swiss Federica Tantardini with “Mela”, are the winners of the “Short Food Movie” competition, an initiative organized on the occasion of Expo 2015 by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma (project manager: Diamara Parodi) and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (manager: Caterina D’Amico). The shorts, which all run for a maximum of one minute, were selected by the jury chaired by Ferzan Ozpetek, from amongst the 1002 from 61 countries, on the topic of “Nutrition-Life”.
All the shorts, not just the winners, are now visible (without sound) on the large video installation located in the Zero Pavilion of Expo Milano 2015. A selection of videos will also run along the plasma screen of the Italia Pavilion at the Majestic in Cannes.
