The Advisory Board of the Abruzzo Film Commission will be introduced at the American Film Market
Abruzzo is a unique land, where one can come across a flyer warning the local population from familiarizing with the native bears, and setting down a series of rules for “cohabiting with bears outside the Park.”
The purpose of the warning is to protect an endangered wild animal, and, at the same time, it tells how natural it is for the residents of the Abruzzo hinterland to live with the bears.
The fur of the Abruzzese bear is also singular: it is brown, not gray like the one found on the other side of the hemisphere, in the parks and on the flag of the State of California.
Hollywood, the land of cinema par excellence, is the destination of the first “outing” of the nascent Abruzzo Film Commission with a new endeavor: The Abruzzo Film Commission Advisory Board, which will be presented to international filmmakers on November 9, 2019 during the American Film Market in Santa Monica.
The Board members will include some of the best talents who came from Abruzzo and now live and work in Hollywood.
The objective of the Board is to use their talent and influence to optimally promote the Abruzzo Region as a location for Ameri-can productions. In the following pages Cinema & Video International also wants to give its contribu-tion, illustrating the many reasons that could encourage filmmakers to shoot in Abruzzo
