On December 23rd, the committee in charge of the Tax Rebate for International Productions at the CNC (French regulation body) awarded the new incentive to 5 projects presented by Film France, the French Film Commmission, in charge of assessing if applicants meet the criteria of the TRIP Cultural Test.
The five projects will get 20% of their eligible costs in France reimbursed. There are « Five Killers » , by Robert Luketic for Lionsgate (US), Universal animated feature « Despicable Me », « Nodame Cantabile », a Japanese production, and the tv series for BBC « Merlin » and low-budget UK feature « Paris Connections ».
