The famous French department of Var (Saint- Tropez) has had a record year with a steady flow of film projects. These include a Danish TV movie about the life of Van Gogh («A Home for Vincent»), produced by the Endemol Group and directed by Pim van Hoeve, featuring, in particular, the famous Abbey of Thoronet. Plus another Danish movie, this time a thriller for the big screen «The Player» by Tomas Villum Jensen, which involved 5 weeks of filming on location. The filming was organized by the executive producer Kanzaman, and the production received support from the French international tax credit system.
And finally, a British movie, produced by the celebrated Jeremy Thomas (Recorded Pictures), «Dom Hemingway» by Richard Shepard, starring Jude Law and Richard E. Grant.
