EMILIA ROMAGNA/From Bologna in Rome

The short animation “Mani Rosse” by Francesco Filippi, produced by Michele Fasano’s Sattva Films and realized with the support of the Fondo per l’Audiovisivo dell’Emilia Romagna [Audiovisual Fund] will be presented in Alice nella città, the Rome Film Fest’s section dedicated to young generations and families.
Moreover a panel at MIA – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo will be dedicated to the film – which tackles the topic of domestic violence involving minors – attended by the international partners interested in turning the work into a feature-length movie.
Kiné Società cooperativa will also be present at MIA in the docu-series section with the pitch of “Stili ribelli” by Lara Rongoni, a foray into music, fashion and cinema. The project, supported by the last Emilia-Romagna open call for Audiovisuals, will establish its set in London between the end of September and October and feature interviews with big names in fashion and culture.

Paolo Rossi, founder of the Bolognese production house Genoma Films, will bring to the capital the restoration of “Attack and retreat” starring his father, Raffaele Pisu, directed in 1964 by Giuseppe De Santis. The restoration, curated by Cineteca Nazionale, will be screened in Rome as a big special event.

There will be a lot of active sets in the fall.
Filming has come to an end in the province of Ferrara on “Il fagotto”, the short (produced by Maxman Coop) written and directed by Giulia Giapponesi.
The set of “Solo cose belle” by Kristian Gianfreda has also closed down.
The feature film produced by Coffee Time and Sunset was made entirely in the Rimini area and inspired by life in the houses of the Pope John XXIII Community.
Also being filmed in Rimini is “Tutto liscio” by Igor Maltagliati, the story of dance halls in the Romagna area and evenings of sea and music. The production is handled by La Famiglia Film.
The final takes are also underway in Bologna on “Gli anni amari” by Andrea Adriatico, a biopic about Mario Mieli, intellectual, activist and artist, one of the founders of the homosexual movement in Italy who tragically died at only 30 years of age.
