D-HUB Studios/I Sassi d’Oro brings the Best Crew Award to NY

Jacopo Quadri, the editor on “The Mayor of Rione Sanità”, has won the Best Crew Award which is presented to the best Italian cinema professionals on an international level.
The award was assigned on November 19 in New York during the 11th edition of the Italian Movie Award ® Festival Internazionale del Cinema Italiano all’Estero.

The Best Crew is a brand new addition for this year which was made possible thanks to the American festival’s partnership with I Sassi D’Oro in Matera, an event organized by the Rome post-production and dubbing studio D-HUB Studios in order to maximize the audiovisual industry’s whole production chain.
In October, the magnificent scenario of the Casa Cava, a 900 sq. meter auditorium dug out of rock in the heart of the “Sassi” of Matera, hosts the I Sassi d’Oro event which presents awards to audiovisual professionals that are divided into three different sections: Enterprise, Dubbing, and Cinema and TV.

The attention is not only focused on professionals but also on training the new generations since I Sassi d’Oro also includes workshops for young residents of the South.
And with an eye on the international scene as Lidia Cudemo, CEO of D-HUB who devised the event, explains: “in order to be a fully-fledged capital of cinema, Matera only needs to strengthen the post-production industry and we believe that the international limelight of the Best Crew Award at the Italian Movie Awards will be very useful in that sense”.

D-HUB Studios’ participation at the American Film Market in Santa Monica also complies with this outlook: “We do not limit ourselves to being a service but want to follow the changes of the audiovisual market.”
