Big data, bigger audience? How European works may profit from technology: the European Film Forum Berlin 2017 will take place on Monday, February 13th at The Ritz-Carlton, in Berlin, moderated by the journalist Marjorie Paillon
Promoting the use of data and automated tools to enhance content recommendations in order to cater for broader interests and tastes, and thus develop and expand audiences for audiovisual European works, is on the Commission’s agenda for 2017.
At the European Film Forum Berlin 2017, policy makers and the audiovisual industry will discuss how to develop enablers at a European level, but also how to enhance research and development in the field of data within the audiovisual industry.
The European Film Forum will be followed by the Creative Europe MEDIA showcases: Spotlight on uniting film, democracy and technology
In each session, two or three state-of-the-art MEDIA-supported projects will be introduced by a short interview discussing how they are harnessing the new potential that is opening up for the audiovisual industry.
The Creative Europe Showcases are moderated by Wendy Mitchell, Film Programme Manager, British Council; Contributing Editor, Screen International
