Christiana Wertz will be the person responsible for the activities of Filmlocation inside Business Location Sà¼dtirol “” Alto Adige: she will formally start the job in mid September.

As already announced by Cinema & Video International last May, Business Location Sà¼dtirol/Alto Adige (BLS) is the company that helps businesses settle in the territory and is also involved in territorial marketing projects.
BLS has been operational since January 2008 and the sole shareholder is the Autonomous Provincial Government of Bolzano.
Filmlocation’s activities are carried out within the Marketing structure of BLS.

“We are following the example of many other Italian regions which have already begun to move in this direction”, comments Ulrich Stofner, director of BLS. “Our objective is to acquire all the necessary tools in order to offer the right support to the theatrical and audiovisual sectors and to develop an adequate level of territorial marketing”.

It has been confirmed that a draft law is being drawn up that will make it possible to make contributions to the audiovisual sector and that the relevant application criteria are being worked out.
In the fall, the proposal will be presented to the Provincial Council and, “barring setbacks”, says the official announcement, the law will come into force by the end of the year.

Christiana Wertz was born in Cologne in 1978 of an Italian mother and German father. She heralds from the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern GmbH “” Cluster Audiovisuelle Medien division, of Munich.
