20-20-20 HEROES/Supporting the Future

“The need to inform citizens about the energy saving actions active and available in Sardinia, such as the ‘Sardegna Compra Verde’ campaign of the Environmental Department or the ‘Energy Desk’ created by Sardegna Ricerche”, underlines the director of the Film Commission,”is also transformed when investment is made into new audiovisual products so that good practice can be promoted and consolidated through the cinema and Web.
It is an opportunity to trigger a virtuous system of investment in the respective sectors, with an excellent final objective: to realize original projects and medium-long term actions that can generate traceable effects , with good economic multipliers for the region”.

There are various initiatives planned for the island region in the project for the two year period 2014-2015, including informative meetings, entertainment workshops, audiovisual production competitions of various kinds, involving shorts and documentaries dedicated to the best practices of energy savings and efficiency on the island and celebrating situations of excellence and stories of everyday ‘heroes’ i.e. businesses, private citizens, public bodies that contribute every day to helping Sardinia achieve Europe’s ‘green’ 20-20-20 objectives.
